Nursing Assistant
The Nursing Assistant Program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required in the care of patients in nursing residences, hospitals, other medical facilities and with clients needing care in their private homes. Individuals may work under the supervision of licensed health care professionals in the performance of nursing care and services.
Vocational Nursing
The Vocational Nursing program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level vocational nurse position in a medical office, clinic, HMO, acute care hospital, long- term care facility or other health care setting.
Medical Assistant Administrative and Clinical
The Medical Assistant program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills in both administrative and clinical procedures. Competency in preparation of patients for examinations, back-office clinical procedures, administration of medications, and routine laboratory procedures is coupled with a thorough knowledge of the front-office skills necessary in medical office.
Computerized Medical Biller/Coder
The Computerized Medical Biller/Coder program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work successfully as an entry-level claims examiner or medical biller in a medical office, clinic, HMO, other healthcare setting, insurance company, or independent billing company.
Patient Care Technician
This program is designed to provide students with skills related to patient care, communication skills, medical safety, infection control, health care terminology, nutrition, anatomy, CPR, and vital signs. In addition, the program require students to obtain at least 40 hours of clinical experience prior to the program’s completion
Phlebotomy Technician
A phlebotomy technician draws quality blood samples form patients or blood donors and prepares those specimens for medical testing. This program is designed to provide students with skills and both basic didactic and advanced didactic components, including infection control, skin puncture techniques, venipuncture techniques, blood sample collection and processing.
