Medical Assistant Administrative and Clinical

Medical Assistant students have the benefit of learning multiple skills so that they will be attractive to employers upon graduation. As part of the program, we offer training in Electronic Health Records, EKG, Phlebotomy, and many other skills. Our curriculum is taught according to national standards for certifications such as the CMA (Certified Medical Assistant). Graduates work with clinics, medical groups, and specialty practices.

Computerized Medical Biller/Coder

Medical Biller/Coder students have a rewarding pathway into the medical office and administration. As part of the program, students learn how to process insurance claims, medical terminology, and coding in diagnoses and procedures. Students also learn about the collections process and commonly used software programs. Graduates are eligible to take certification exams such as the CMRS (Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist). Graduates work in front office of medical clinics, health insurance companies, customer service, medical billing and coding specialty groups, workers’ compensation insurance and auto insurance companies.

Patient Care Technician

Patient Care Technician offers three careers in one program. Patient Care Technician students learn Medical Assisting, Nurse Assisting and Home Health Aide. It is ideal for students who want the option of working in a clinic, nursing home, or in-home care. Graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam as a PCT (Patient Care Technician).

Vocational Nursing

Our Vocational Nursing program prepares you to be an excellent nurse with skills desired by employers in Los Angeles and Orange County. We provide individual attention to give our students the best preparation for the NCLEX-VN state licensure exams. Graduates work in a diversity of medical facilities including clinics, medical groups, nursing homes, and in-home care agencies.

Nursing Assistant

Nursing Assistant is a great start to a promising career. Graduates work in nursing homes, adult day care centers, hospitals, in-home care, and a variety of other settings.

Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1)

A Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1) draws blood samples from patients or blood donors and prepares specimens for testing. Graduates can work in clinics, hospitals and laboratories.
