Nurse Assistant

Working closely with patients, Nurse Assistants are responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding patients, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and checking patient vital signs. Nurse Assistants give patients important social and emotional support and also provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses.

Being a Nurse Assistants can be a stepping stone to becoming a Vocational Nurse or a Registered Nurse.

What do Nurse Assistants do?

Nurse Assistants work in nursing homes, hospitals, mental health facilities, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Job prospects for Nurse Assistants are expected to be excellent due to the increasing long-term care needs of an aging population.

How long is the Program?

The Infotech Career College Nurse Assistant program is a total of 6 weeks.

At the end of the program, students take a State Certification exam in order to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
